The 53rd CNR AYMOD, the International Fashion Fair, was held in CNR Expo Yeşilköy on 15-18 April.

The Head of TASD, Hüseyin Çetin told "the fair organized with the participation of 450 companies will bring 200-million-dollar trade volume to the industry. We will see these effects in the third quarter."

The global arena for the footwear industry, CNR AYMOD was held for the 53rd time on 15-18 April in CNR Expo Yeşilköy. 32100 local and foreign visitors were in the fair organized with the collaboration of Pozitif Fuarcılık, one of CNR Holding companies, and The Research and Development Education Foundation (TASEV), Footwear Industrialists Association of Turkey (TASD). Making his remarks on AYMOD, which is also supported by KOSGEB, and the industry, the Head of TASD Hüseyin Çetin told "the fair organized with the participation of 450 companies will bring 200-million-dollar trade volume to the industry. We will see these effects in the third quarter."

-"DESPITE THE NEGATIVE SIDES, THE INDUSTRY KEEPS ITS EXPORT ACTIVITIES"-

Underlining the fact that the industry has been affected badly because of the political tension between Ukraine and Russia and also the war in Iraq, Çetin stated the followings:

"Despite these negative aspects, the industry gained 77-million-dollar export in March. This is a great achievement for our industry. Within this direction, we will reach our 800-million-dollar year-end target."

Expressing that AYMOD Fair is improving its products and developing and strengthening with the industry, Çetin said "we managed to produce faylan (flexible, soft) domestic sole whose production has always been seen impossible in Turkey. We decided to hold AYMOD not in November but in October, in the autumn season. By this way, we will catch the season. We will increase the number of our buyers from 300 to 500. We will also increase the popularity of our fair on the international arena."

-FOREIGN FOOTWEAR STORE CHAINS FOCUSED ON TURKEY FOR PRODUCTION"- -

Fall 2015-Winter 2016 Footwear and leather craft were displayed in the fair for the first time. 1400 brands participated in the fair displayed the domestic designs they produced after the additional tax regulation activated for footwear import. Many buyer committees from different countries like Germany, the UAE, Bahrain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Morocco, France, the Netherlands, Iraq, England, Spain, Israel, Italy, Qatar, Kuwait, Poland, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Jordan and Greece came to the fair which was held on a 60000m2 area. Several footwear store chains from various countries especially from Italy, Spain and Germany offered a shared production with the domestic companies.

AYMOD was organized with the participation of leading domestic and foreign brands like Birkenstock, Tanca, Pierre Cardin, Lig, Hush Puppies, Pedro Camino, Lumberjack, Dockers, U.S Polo ASSN, La Pinta, Ridge, Inuovo, Bueno, Twigy, Bulldozer, Komçero, Genio, Deriva, Scooter. 54th AYMOD Fair where 2016 spring-summer collections will be displayed for the first time is welcoming visitors on 07-10 October 2015.
